Dizin is a ski resort north of Tehran. The highest ski lift reaches 3,600 m (11,800 ft), making it one of the 40 highest ski resorts in the world. Popular with Iranians on the weekend.

The Trip day by day; Day-00 Teheran Airport by Iran Air

You are landing at Tehran airport in the evening and take a journey into the mountain. After accommodation at the hotel, we eat a late dinner and gears up for the following day

Day 01 until day 06 / Skiing in Dizin

After breakfast we head out on the slopes or exploring the surrounding ski terraiDizin ski slope machines concentrate on the area closest to the lifts; there are large areas of accessible off-piste skiing, which we can take for ourselves. The skiing in Dizin is at around 3500-2700 meters above the sea.

Day-07 or day 00-B Tehran Airport; flying back by Iran Air on the morning around 08:30 AM

On the morning of day seven, we leave the hotel around 03:00 and going back to Tehran Airport.

There are two ways to reach Dizin from Tehran. The longest and safest way is in the west of Teran. This road is usually open but it takes about 2, 5 hours. The quickest way is directly north passing through the resort of Shemshak. The minibus mentioned above use this way.

Make sure you check the weather and snow forecast before you leave Tehran. You may even be sour that the slope is not close either.

In some religious days all ski slopes in Iran could be closed.

The hotel is located just 20 m from the bottom of the slopes. The parking area is just 50 m away with a few shops that rent out ski equipment.

Dizin is an excellent place for skiing and snowboarding, with 22 lifts in the area. A day skipass costs between 200,000 and 300,000 rials (more on the weekend). A snowboard can be rented for 300,000 per day, but can go as high as 500,000 rials per day depending on where you rent and quality. Cheaper rentals are available in Shemshakor at the parking on the top of Dizin.

There are two hotels at the bottom of the slope.

It is possible to rent ski and snowboard equipment at three places.

There is also a hotel in Shemshak from where you can catch a ride or a taxi to the top of the slope. Next to Dizin Hotel 1 there is another hotel with the equally creative name Dizin Hotel 2. Dizin Hotel 1, +98 261 5212449 - 5212978 (fax: +98 261 5212449). Old hotel situated just in front of the ski slopes. Great view from rooms facing the slopes. Restaurant serves the usual kebabs. The former cool-looking retro bar has been turned into a coffee shop with non-alcoholic beer. 30% discount on weekdays.

Gajereh Hotel.There is also hotel about five minutes before arriving at Hotel Dizin.You can get a taxi or min bus from the top of the slope Dizin to Shemshak which is another ski resorts just 15 minutes away. Shemshak is steeper and very good for experienced skiers.
